When the four of us started a new term in Year 12 in sixth form, we all expected new challenges to be thrown at us left, right and centre…and sixth form hasn’t let us down!

US!!

The Zawadi project was our business studies teachers’ idea, and when he told us about the project and what he wanted us to do, we didn’t really believe it was possible!
However, once we got the ball rolling, the project became fantastic fun, and a real challenge that absorbed all our free time!

The project initially started with three girls – Abbey, Frances and Joanne – yet, due to the enormity of the project, help was enlisted in the form of firstly Mrs Farrar – our business liaison manager at school, who not only had fantastic contacts, but also supported our sometimes ambitious wishes whilst whole-heartedly throwing herself into the Zawadi project. However, we also enlisted the help of co-student Rob, who has constructed this brilliant website in such a short space of time!

The whole project has given us the opportunity to discover new businesses around Harrogate that we never knew existed, meet some brilliantly talented people and further our own knowledge of the business world, and all the barriers that you face!

Needless to say, the support we have received from St Aidan’s C of E High School has been extraordinary, so we would like to thank all the staff and pupils involved in the project for all their encouragement, as without it, we wouldn’t have had the confidence to propel this project forward and launch the idea!

We’d also like to thank Ian Ladely, our Graphic Artist, who made our catalogue come to life with much patience and talent, as well as our teacher Mr Illingworth for his continual support of the project.

We hope you like the project, and feel that the campaign is worth getting involved in!
